I’m a guitar player myself, so I can relate to this. Musician David Carroll was flying United Airlines when he saw his guitar being mishandled badly by baggage handlers. Upon arriving at his destination, he opened his guitar case and noticed that his Taylor acoustic guitar had been badly damaged. He contacted United to try to resolve this issue, to no avail. He then decided to record this video. Major news outlets have picked up on it and now United is scrambling. Check out the full story here, and the video below:
Everyone wants to make traveling a little bit easier. Here are five resources that will help you make your time at an airport a little bit easier to swallow.
Airpower Wiki: Discover where to charge your phone, laptop or other electronic device with this organized list of where you can power-up at airports across the world (yes, international too!).
Seatguru: Find out which seats have the extra legroom and avoid a seat with limited recline, broken down by airline.
Airlinemeals: Check out ratings, reviews, and photos of airline meals from around the world.
Yapta: Track the price of a specific flight you want to take. Or if you’ve already purchased your flight, use this tool to see if the price drops so you can get credit from your airline.
TSAWait IPhone App: Get security line wait time statistics straight from the TSA. There is a free version that has pretty large collection of airports, and a 99 cent version that has a larger database of airports to choose from.
These tips should give you a little more time to chill, and a little less time to stress during your next flying experience. What are some of your favorite flying resources?
